My passion for photography has been developing since I was a child. Growing up in Minnesota I remember days spent at the black & white film lab and darkroom my father managed. Spinning around in the revolving darkroom doors, imagining light tables were control panels and the smell of film processing chemicals. I remember evenings of slideshows in the living room of past adventures and the sounds of the slides advancing along the memories. I didn’t find photography as a calling right away. My path toward photography was definitely the long road. Eventually leading me to California and some of the most inspiring photographers to help shape my journey. My approach to image creation typically centers around a memory. Either a past memory that I want to revisit and share through the my lens or a new memory that I want to create to convey a specific message or emotion. I try to show the viewer how I feel not what I see.
